Extensions Dance Company

Extensions Dance Company was founded in 2005 by Lizzie MacKenzie and Lauren Brown to give serious young dancers an home to explore their artistry and talent on a truly pre-professional level. Artistic and technical versatility are our top priorities as well as the cultivation of each young artists individual creative voice. Dancers train in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, modern, ballroom, hip hop, west African and more. We host a student choreography project each year to provide company artists who are interested in exploring their own work the opportunity to create on their fellow company members. Our dancers have won top accolades at the most renown competitions and conventions and we have graduates who have attended the top dance universities across the country including Juilliard, USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, University of Arizona, Chapman University and NYU to name a few, and many who are currently dancing and performing professionally in the United States and abroad. While our dancers train at a pre-professional level many choose to go on to careers outside of dance but they always keep dance as part of their lives! Some have chosen to participate in dance clubs at their university, with a few even having founded and lead them while others have gone on to join the very athletic and competitive world of dance team in their collegiate years.
