Fiona, born and raised in the city of Chicago, is a founding member of the Petite Company (2014), at Extensions Dance Company and is currently going into her sixth year of study at EXDC. After studying at Joffrey ballet as a young girl for 2 years, she found her passion for dance through mentor Artistic Director Lizzie Mackenzie who guided her to hone in on her exploration of this craft and study more intensely in dance. Fiona is 13 and in 7th grade at Beaubien Elementary. She recently went to Interlochen Arts Camp this past July 2019 as a dance major in the Junior Dance Division receiving a talented merit award upon acceptance to the program. This year she is excited to join the Chicago City Classical Ballet company under the co-direction of Tatyana Mazur and Lizzie Mackenzie. Fiona loves dance because she can truly assert herself and finds that it is a way to release her inner voice and reveal emotion, strength and vulnerability. She truly feels like this is her home away from home and thanks the incredible faculty at EXDC for her training! In addition to her passion for dance, her favorite pastime is hanging out on aerial silks with her mother, singing and playing piano and guitar with her father or hanging with her pups Jimmy and Jake.
