Jordan Ryder
Jordan Ryder graduated from Adlai E. Stevenson High School in June of 2015 after two wonderful years with Extensions Dance Company. To continue her education, Jordan attended the dance program at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts the following fall. NYU opened Jordan’s eyes to how vast the world of dance could be, and along with training and growing as a dancer, she discovered her passion for choreography and dance business. Something she valued about the program at Tisch was the abundance of opportunity for creation and feedback, and through process decided that it was something she wanted to pursue more seriously. In May of 2018, Jordan graduated with a BFA in dance and a double minor in Sociology and the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Since graduating, Jordan has moved to Brooklyn and started her own dance company, RyderDance. She is a recipient of the Eryc Taylor New Choreographer Grant, and is so thankful for all of the support she has received to continue doing what she loves. In addition to choreography, Jordan is performing with a small NYC-based dance company and is working as the Assistant to the Executive Director at the Martha Graham Dance Company.
