This is Winnie’s 1st year with Extensions Dance Company, and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to dance more and compete with the Petites! Winnie has always loved to dance; as a toddler, she would insist on dressing up as a ballerina and dancing along to the Nutcracker year round. She has been enrolled in dance classes since age three (even through COVID-times), and started classes at Extensions when she was in Kindergarten. After peering into Ms. Lizzie’s ballet class one day and setting her eyes on the “real” ballerinas practicing on the barre, she was hooked. After performing in the 2023 June showcase, she was hooked even more. This year, she’s looking forward to honing her technique, testing out tap, and being part of a team of girls who are as dedicated to dance as her. When Winnie isn’t dancing, she is a busy 2nd grader, reading Babysitters Club books, playing with her neighborhood pals, making art projects, watching “something,” participating in Musical Theater through school, and being a big sister to her two younger siblings. Winnie is more than ready to light up the stage with her teammates this year!
