Rachel is currently a junior at Highland Park High School, but will graduate in May. This will be her fourth year on the senior company and fifth year training at Extensions. Rachel started dancing at the age of two and, ever since, just can’t seem to get enough. She trained at studios on the northshore before discovering Extensions. Rachel attended numerous summer intensives including Interlochen Academy for the Arts, River North Dance Chicago, and MIP2 in New York City. This past summer Rachel had the privilege of participating in NW Dance Project intensive in Portland, Oregon. Rachel has been inspired and had the pleasure of learning from many renowned artist including Adam Barruch, Taylor Mitchell, Diego Salterini, Kim Sagami, Shannon Alvis, Miranda Borkan, Mike Gosney, Jared Baker, Seth Robinson Katie McCann, and Garth Johnson. Lizzie MacKenzie has created a supportive and accepting environment that cannot be beat. Rachel’s teammates are like family, and Extensions has become the place where she can just be herself, no judgment. Above all, Rachel is honored to have the opportunity to learn from Lizzie and looks forward to an incredible last year on the company.
