Melina is in her second year of dancing at Extensions, and is extremely excited to be starting her first year as a member of the company. She is in eighth grade at Alexander Graham Bell Middle school. When she was very young, she couldn’t stop dancing around the house, so her mom finally put her in dance classes when she was three years old. Her favorite styles of dance are hip hop and contemporary. Some of her most notable dance accomplishments are being awarded a full scholarship to Bella Moxi’s nationals, and receiving first place in her category at Shake The Ground. Over the summer, she attended Extension’s summer intensive. Melina is a very responsible student and plans out her work ahead of time to manage her busy dance and academic schedules. Melina feels freest when she is dancing, and uses dance to let out all of the negativity in her life. Apart from dance, Melina took Taekwondo lessons for two years. Her all time favorite food is pasta, and her go to Starbucks order is either peppermint hot chocolate or dragon fruit lemonade depending on the season.
