Jordan Landry, 16, is a Junior at Stevenson High School, where she competes in varsity track as a hurdler and sprinter and is also a member of the National Honor Society. Jordi has been dancing for many years and is beginning her sixth season at Extensions. Finding the right balance between dance, school and other obligations can be quite a challenge, but for Jordi, dance is a welcome distraction. She loves contemporary because it is so open to personal style and choice making, and there is no wrong answer.
Her dance training has not been without challenges. Jordi had to overcome a serious arm injury that made it impossible to dance for a whole year! During that time, Jordi was able to workout in a gym training for track season, and focus on things that make her happy like bacon and coffee! In addition to dance, Jordi has also studied piano for twelve years and performs in a piano festival annually.
