Garth Johnson also known as pop singer and performer gARTh is ART, is a multi-faceted artist. Hailing from Chicago, after attending the Chicago Academy for the Arts, Garth went on to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. He has performed works by Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, and Andrea Miller. In 2013, he joined Punchrunk’s hit show SLEEP NO MORE, where he performed numerous roles. He went on to join DV8 Physical Theatre’s European tour of JOHN, where he traveled and performed for two years. He has performed with UK’s Garsington Opera under the direction of Andrea Heise. In 2016, Garth moved to Shanghai, China, where he was part of the original cast of Punchdrunk’s SLEEP NO MORE SHANGHAI, where he also assistant rehearsal directed the show, and helped devise and create the production. Garth is a creator on many levels, and also has choreographed multitude of his own works at Juilliard, Princeton University, and many youth dance companies. Garth is also an instructor at SoulCycle Chicago, inspiring people everyday to fall in love with the artistry of moving one’s body to music. He also composes and creates his own genre blending pop music. You can listen to his self-made music on most streaming platforms. Garth also uploads a weekly vlog series called Journey To Starboy which is a deeper look into his everyday life.  There is no limit to the art Garth cultivates, from dancing, music making, content creating, and video editing, he is always deepening his artistic practices.
