Vera is 8 years old and is in 3rd grade at Abraham Lincoln Elementary in Chicago. She took her first ballet class at age 3 but never got to finish it or perform in a recital due to Covid. She started back up with ballet when she was 5 at a recreational dance school but we thought she would do much better at a school that was more structured and that’s how we found Extensions Dance. At age 6 Vera took a ballet class and the beginner hip hop class, but ultimately fell in love with the hip hop class. This is her third year in the beginner hip hop class and her second year with the Kidz Movin’ Hip Hop Crew! She decided to challenge herself even more by adding intermediate hip hop and jazz this year. She absolutely loves Miss Regan and her fellow dance girls. We are so grateful we switched to Extensions Dance because Vera has improved her dance skills and has also become so much more confident and comfortable with herself under the direction of experienced teachers and a positive environment.

Vera’s two favorite things are dancing and cooking, but she also enjoys drawing, reading and spending time with her family.

We are looking forward to Vera’s continuous improvement under the tutelage of Miss Lizzie and her fabulous teachers.
