Bio
Angelina Ramirez is starting her Senior year in high school and her 8th and final year with Extensions Dance Company, Angelina loves spending time with her friends , attending sports games, visiting New York City and watching Broadway shows, but her biggest passion is dance and telling a story with her movement.
She started dancing at the age of 3 in California and has danced with many different dance studios, in different states, since her dad is active duty military (Marine Corp) and moves around a lot. Despite multiple dance studios in her life, Extensions is where she found her home and a second family. Angelina was very fortunate to find Lizzie Mackenzie at the age of 9 and to have been invited to be a founding member of Extensions Too!, and to train with her and the amazing faculty at Extensions Dance Company. Since training with Lizzie and all the teachers at Extensions, Angie has been able to accomplish many things such as becoming a YoungArts Winner in 2019 in the contemporary/modern dance category as well as winning regional titles for NYCDA mini , junior , teen and senior outstanding dancer. Angie has been accepted to, and has attended, some of the most prestigious summer programs in the country including Houston Ballet Summer program, (2015 & 2016), Alonzo Kings Line Ballet summer program (2017) on a full merit scholarship and the summer of 2018 and 2019 she attended The Juilliard School summer program.
Angelina is grateful to be part of such an amazing organization as Extensions and is thankful to Lizzie, Lauren, and all the teachers that make Extensions such an amazing studio. She is also grateful to her parents and family for their support and love that allows her to pursue her dream of being on stage in a professional dance company someday.
