Sophia began her dance training at the age of 2. Since then, she has studied genres such as ballet, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, jazz, tap, and ballroom. In addition to her time at Extensions Sophia has trained under various instructors across programs such as Giordano Dance Chicago, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Sarasota Contemporary Dance. She has also had the opportunity to learn works by artists like William Forsythe, Peter Chu, and Kyle Abraham. Outside of the studio, Sophia has an interest in film production and writing. Above all, she has a deep love for every art form and is incredibly driven to achieve her artistic and academic goals. Sophia would like to thank her family, friends, teachers, and peers for their tremendous love and support, especially during her fifth and final year at Extensions.
