Nikki Mammano
Bio
Nikki’s passion for dance has been an integral part of her life that has flourished with her throughout her years of dancing. Beginning with a diverse range of styles, including ballet, lyrical, modern, and hip-hop, she cultivated a strong foundation in movement and expression from an early age. It was during her senior year of high school that she discovered partner dancing, igniting an entirely new fire within her. She has since trained and performed in studios across the US in styles such as salsa, bachata, and ballroom. Alongside her economics studies in college, she trained and competed in Smooth and Latin under the direction of international champions Terry and Rozana Sweeny. Her pursuit of knowledge and commitment to continuous growth led her to certify in Bronze Smooth and Rhythm through Dance Vision International Dancers Association (DVIDA), a global leader in Ballroom Dance education. She trains under the guidance of Blackpool World Champion Tommye Giacchino.
Since teaching for Chicago Dance, her passion for dance has amplified. Nikki understands the transformative power of dance and strives to instill a sense of bravery and boldness within her students. Her supportive and empathetic teaching style encourages her students to embrace their individuality and confidence in every movement and pattern they learn. She teaches private lessons and group classes in Ballroom styles including: waltz, tango, foxtrot, cha-cha, rumba, and swing. Additionally, she choreographs wedding first dances and teaches salsa, bachata, and Argentine tango. When she’s not dancing, she is in class pursuing an MBA in sustainable solutions from Presidio Graduate School and teaching yoga at CorePower Yoga.
