Amy Rose
Bio
Amy Rose performed with Chicago Ballet in “The Nutcracker” and “Alice in Wonderland” before joining American Ballet Theatre at the age of sixteen. She quickly rose to the rank of soloist at ABT and was featured in principal, soloist and character parts in both the classical and contemporary repertoire. During this time, she was also a Guest Artist with the Universal Ballet in Korea and the Stars of American Ballet in Manila. She went on to dance as a soloist at Pacific Northwest Ballet and was a featured dancer on their tour to Australia. As a freelance dancer, she performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Dance West Ballet, Northwest Ballet and the Civic Ballet of Chicago, among others. As a teacher, she’s been on the faculty for the ABT Summer Intensives for over 20 years. Currently she teaches at three schools and is a co-director of Ballet Illinois. She’s been a guest instructor for many schools and coach’s students for various competitions. Amy Rose is an ABT Certified Teacher who has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 of the ABT National Training Curriculum.
