Amy is a senior at Maine South High School and this is her third year at Extensions Dance Company, but her first year with Chicago City Classical Ballet. Her two favorite styles of dance are ballet and contemporary. As a child Amy played soccer although always loved dancing around at home and so in 7th grade Amy traded her soccer cleats for ballet shoes. When Amy is not dancing, she enjoys completing puzzles and volunteering at her church. Although Amy loves expressing herself through dance, her true passion is in the classroom learning. In college Amy plans on majoring in biology and pursuing a future career as a Pediatrician. While Amy may not be studying dance in college, she will definitely take the lessons she has learned in the studio and apply them to her future career. Amy believes that “opportunities are disguised as hard work” and applies herself to everything she does.

Amy is very grateful for all of the opportunities she has received as an Extensions Dance Company member. Amy is especially grateful to have been taught by the amazing dance educators at Extensions and thanks them for helping her improve and grow!
