Adam Houston
Bio
Adam Houston, originally from Boone, Iowa, graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Arizona. Adam was named the “Outstanding Senior” of his graduation class. Upon graduation he joined Giordano Dance Chicago and has been with them for ten seasons. During his time at GDC he has performed numerous works by choreographers like; Gus Giordano, Ray Leaper, Liz Imperio, Mia Michaels, Marinda Davis, Peter Chu, Roni Koresh & Randy Duncan. While with GDC Adam has had the opportunity to travel extensively in the United States and Europe. Adam donates his time every year to participate in Dance For Life and is an ambassador for Chicago Dancers United. He also has been a part of Giordano Dance Chicago’s outreach program in Chicago Public Schools, teaching 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students. This past season Adam was promoted within GDC to Co-Rehearsal Captain for the Main Company, as well as Co-Costume Manager. He is a Nan Giordano Certification Program® instructor in all five levels, a sought out choreographer, teacher and coach. Adam has set numerous pieces on Giordano II, and this past year premiered his work on the Main Company of Giordano Dance Chicago. Adam is excited to be in his first year with Extensions Dance Center, mentoring and guiding these young students as artists and young people in the community.
